What size wire cutters do I need to make earrings?

Im going to be cutting the hooks off of costume jewlery and connecting them to gold hooks.

Hello there,

Since you will not likely be cutting any wire larger than 18 gauge, you can get a small sized wire cutters. If you are going to be making your own hooks from gold rolled wire, you should get flush cutting pliers. Then you can used the same pliers to cut the old hooks off and cut the wire for the new hooks.
